Gaze was tasked with relocating the Nursing Faculty from MIT's Otara campus to its Manukau campus. The objective was to create a modern and future-proof learning environment that optimises space and accommodates all necessary capabilities for comprehensive, hands-on learning.
In addition to conventional laboratories, Gaze designed simulation training facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, mirroring real medical environments. Clinical learning suites were designed as hospital wards, complete with beds, equipment plugins, gases, curtains, and versatile spaces for simulating different scenarios. Joinery was meticulously crafted to meet faculty standards, prioritising cleaning, safety, security, and storage requirements.
The project resulted in the successful relocation of the Nursing Faculty to MIT's Manukau campus, providing students with an advanced and immersive learning environment. By incorporating simulation training facilities and meeting strict faculty standards for joinery, Gaze ensured that the space is equipped to deliver comprehensive nursing education effectively.
