Anderson Lloyd engaged Gaze for property consultancy, design and project management to create an office space in Christchurch that resonates with the city's architectural and natural charm. The project aimed to reflect the essence of Christchurch's iconic Cathedral and public gardens, incorporating biophilic design elements to foster a connection with nature.

Drawing inspiration from the Cathedral's Canterbury stone exterior, wooden carvings, and timber ceiling panelling, Gaze designed an office space that captures these features. The design references the openness of pavilion structures in public gardens, using materials that clad the walls, floors, and ceilings to create an inviting environment. Biophilic design principles guided the selection of plants,natural materials, textures, and colours inspired by the outdoors, set against a warm neutral colour scheme. Key design elements include fluted glass incorporated into operable walls, providing external views and facilitating large gatherings under varying ceiling lines, reminiscent of a church's nave and aisles.
