Gaze Commercial was appointed as the main contractor for the Chevron Suites conversion project in Wellington. Collaborating with Solari Architects, King & Dawson, and Stretton Michael Consulting Engineers, the project involved seismic strengthening, partial re-cladding, exterior refurbishment, and internal conversion of a commercial building into residential apartments with ground-floor retail space.

Gaze led the comprehensive transformation of the Chevron Suites building, ensuring compliance with seismic regulations, and enhancing its overall functionality and aesthetics. Working closely with the architectural and engineering teams, we executed a seamless conversion,integrating residential and retail elements while maintaining the building's structural integrity.

The building now offers modern residential apartments and vibrant ground-floor retail spaces, contributing to the rejuvenation of the Wakefield Street area in Wellington.
