Harness Racing New Zealand (HRNZ) serves as the administrative centre for Harness Racing, facing challenges in their previous location's space efficiency and parking availability. Relocating next to Addington Raceway provided HRNZ with an opportunity for a workspace redesign.

Gaze aimed to merge functionality with aesthetics, emphasizing the raceway view. Inspired by its vibrant hues, we used creamy clay tones and lush greens, incorporating stained ply for a nod to traditional stables. Sustainability was prioritized by retaining existing ceilings and floors and repurposing furniture.

The result is a tranquil workspace reflecting HRNZ's values, fostering staff well-being and connection. The design celebrates Harness Racing's heritage while embracing innovation, symbolizing a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.
