Visionwest NorthWest

Visionwest Community Trust operates together with the Glen Eden Baptist Church to provide social care and welfare services to the under-privileged, needy and disadvantaged.

Visionwest was looking to bring together their North Shore and Glen Eden Home Healthcare call centres, training facilities and administrative operations. After some consideration The NorthWest Shopping Centre was selected, to provide efficient superior accommodation well located to service both catchment areas.

The client required a welcome area to provide security between staff areas and the arrival of guests, while trying to minimise the effect of high barriers and walls. In response, the reception or ‘welcome’ space, was formed with a low table work surface. Staff are shrouded by display shelves intended for art, reference books and general reading material. Plants and branding imagery complemented for a calm and homely front of house.

The overall fitout was to be homely and ‘customer’ relatable, ‘down to earth’, calming and mindful of the community Visionwest serve. Along such lines, materials were carefully chosen with timbers and flaxen weaves in soft tones along with areas of planting and Visionwest branding palette. This theme was consistently carried through for the Visionwest Team areas and for their clients.

Gaze worked closely with the Visionwest team to achieve a great result. The process started with Workplace Strategy to assist the teams relocation and ‘coming together’ followed by concept and detailed design. Gaze would like to thank Visionwest for their active involvement in bringing this key project to fruition.
