Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR), a subsidiary of the Emirates Group, owns and operates a wide-ranging portfolio of restaurants, cafes and bars across the Middle East, Australia and Asia.
Gaze had been working with ELR on this project well in advance of being appointed as the main contractor. The preliminary project development ran consecutively with the delivery of the Wondertree restaurant. Responsibilities included council consent lodgement and management, project management, site supervision and construction as well as significant liaison and coordination with the airport authorities and their project manager. This very complex project also included airport works to strengthen the services riser for the construction of additional mezzanine space, under-slab services to three separate airport locations including the main breezeway and seismic works.
Vantage Bar has arguably the best views in the terminal, delivering to travellers a front-row seat to all the action happening on the tarmac. Sports enthusiasts can also catch the latest game on the giant towering screens, with a cold drink in hand. The varied spaces offer fine dining served to perfection from the large commercial kitchen, making it a great spot to treat yourself before departing New Zealand’s fine shores.
