Subsequent to the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, The New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) were looking to move back into the Christchurch CBD. They wanted a sustainable workspace that truly reflected their vision and values in innovation.
Challenging what we know corporate design to be, a fresh and contemporary environment was collaboratively built with the creative team at NZM. This included maximising the use of natural fibres and materials, to reduce pollution and the use of plastic. Wool and reclaimed wood salvaged from the Christchurch earthquakes feature heavily in the furniture and walls. To bring the space together soothing colours, earthy tones and soft neutral textures have been incorporated throughout NZM’s new home.
Gaze have been amazing to work with through out the project and have delivered on what was a very tight time frame that others said was not possible
