Hudsons Coffee is a leading Australian cafe brand, acquired by Emirates Leisure Retail in 2009. There are currently more than 90 stores throughout Australia.
Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) engaged Gaze to design and fitout their first Hudsons Coffee site in New Zealand, at the Auckland Domestic Terminal departure area. Replacing an existing café, ELR wanted to create a casual and inviting environment where travellers could relax before embarking on their journey.
The space hints a Kiwiana feel with the use of greenery and natural timber, which complements a mural feature designed and painted by a local artist. This highly collaborative project was delivered within the busy constraints of the Domestic Airport.
