Glidepath is an internationally acclaimed designer and engineer of baggage handling systems, operating globally throughout 60+ countries.
Glidepath's New Zealand business had been operating from several sites and their plan was to consolidate the business into one building. A location in Avondale that included factory and office space was selected. With current staff levels and planned future growth, the existing building had inadequate office space.
Gaze designed the offices to improve communication, flow and remove historical silos. An additional 350 sqm was designed and built into the factory space to house engineering and factory staff. This involved serious acoustic considerations and provided spacious kitchen and breakout facilities to allow staff to come together. The project was constructed within a very tight programme to coincide with existing lease terminations.
