Bauer Media is New Zealand’s largest and most influential magazine publisher of popular and investigative magazines including North and South, The Listener, Metro and Property Press.
Bauer Media needed to enhance operational efficiencies and team performances across the business. The selected relocation afforded approximately 4,500 square metres, housing 380+ staff members.
Gaze undertook the design management of Bauer Media's relocation to Victoria Quarter, creating spaces that delivered intrigue, showcasing the buzz and connectivity within their company. They also needed an industrial image, with minimal-standard wall finishes to maintain a raw and industrial feel. Multiple hard surfaces - such as exposed and galvanized steel and polished concrete - were incorporated into the design. Black insulated ceiling panels and rubber runways were designed by Gaze to dampen noise.
