The New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) were looking to move back into the Christchurch CBD, subsequent to the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes. As a leading company focussing on re-designing the wool industry, NZM wanted a sustainable workspace that truly reflected their values in innovation and their vision and purpose; ‘good for the world’.
Challenging what we know corporate design to be, a fresh, contemporary environment was collaboratively built with the creative team at NZM. The client wanted to maximise the use of natural fibres and materials. Reclaimed wood salvaged from the Christchurch earthquakes and Bluff station is featured heavily in the furniture and walls in addition to a lot of wool, of course.
