James and Wells is an intellectual property law firm that specializes in protection of innovative Kiwi businesses.
James and Wells commissioned Gaze to design and relocate their offices to new 800 sqm premises on Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket. The key objective was to create a collaborative working environment, to provide for business growth and reflect their position in the market. Specifically, they needed a fitout consistent with their ethos of being a cutting-edge law firm that supports their clients values.
James and Wells' new office hosts an open-plan environment with partitioned offices placed around the outer perimeter of the tenancy. With a predominance of glass and almost no walls, these offices maintain privacy for staff whilst also creating a friendly open-door feel. The large kitchen area and English pub-themed breakout space were designed to deliver an intimate and inviting area for socializing and team collaboration.
